Bye Bye BNP - Let HOPE defeat hate

Bye Bye BNP

This May we have the opportunity to wipe the BNP out of almost all of its remaining strongholds. For the first time in 10 years we could see the back of the BNP in Burnley. By May, there could well be no BNP councillors in Yorkshire, the West Midlands or the Eastern region. And we should ensure that they do not get re-elected to the London Assembly.

This is a really exciting prospect and one that seemed unimaginable a few years ago.

All this can happen if we get organised. HOPE not hate has devised a campaign strategy that will target the BNP in its few remaining heartlands. We will use the techniques that served us so well in Barking & Dagenham to target and turn out the anti-BNP vote in our key areas. We will use the research of our Fear and HOPE survey to address the concerns and issues of those nervous about immigration because of their economic insecurity.

But we need to do even more. Other far right groups are beginning to emerge and we are prepared to meet these challenges. But we also want to become more pro-active in communities and use events like the Olympics to develop shared identities and more cohesive societies.

HOPE not hate has achieved so much since it was formed in 2004. Now, help us take the campaign forward, starting by waving Bye Bye to the BNP!

Thanks

Nick
